Wind down on the first Friday of every month with new Jazz, delicious cheese and a glass of your favourite tipple at Studio 188.

Joe Chow is a Hong Kong-Australia percussionist and jazz vibraphonist studying his final year at Queensland Conservatorium Griffith University. He has relished learning from the Conservatorium’s jazz and classical faculty and internationally renowned percussionist Gustavo Cereijo. After completing a stint in orchestral percussion, he has ventured even further afield, and landed in the world of jazz with bongos, shakers and four-mallets in his hands. He has performed in Queensland Conservatorium’s musical production of Leonard Bernstein’s West Side Story, Ba Da Boom Percussion Ensemble, and Conservatorium’s flagship jazz orchestra, ConArtists.

Joe is the founder and artistic director of Salseros, a nine-piece Afro-Cuban Salsa ensemble who performs South American classics, jazz standards and pop songs with a salsa twist.
