The Moon festival is one of the most important festivals for Southeast Asia Country such as China, Korea, Vietnam, Thailand and Japan. The festival celebrates the whole year of achievements and reunion of family by dances, music, food and colourful lantern.
The meaning of this event is an important part of the festival celebrates three fundamental concepts that closely connected which are:
- Gathering, such as family and friends gather together or harvesting crops for the festival. It’s believed that the moon is brightest and roundest on this day which means family reunion.
- Thanksgiving, to give thanks for the harvest, or for harmonious unions
- Praying, on the day people asking for conceptual or material satisfaction
