The 15th Latin American Film Festival (LAFF) in Hobart will be held from 29th November to the 8th of December 2019. The Latin American Embassies have partnered once again to bring the biggest festival of its kind to Hobart. LAFF is a not-for-profit event, and all of our screenings are free of charge, subtitled in English and open to all members of the public.

Latin American cinema, a source of great talent, vivid colours and rich stories, is traditionally underrepresented in Australian screens, and LAFF provides an opportunity to reach the Australian public through the universal language of film. We wish to thank the kind generosity of the UTAS Global Partnerships, Global Engagement, Global Division team and UTASLife Programme who are also sponsoring this event in Hobart providing a venue and other support.

Furthermore, a special thanks to the Brazilian Embassy in Canberra for their organisational and other support as the organisers of this year’s LAFF.
