How to Develop Qualities In Our Children

Children don’t come with instruction manuals and many children have challenges with friendships, communicating, expressing emotions and self-esteem. Their natural qualities can develop into positive or negative traits, depending on how they are educated in the early years. The purpose of this program is to develop a culture of character where respect, patience, self-discipline, tolerance and joy for learning are among the qualities and virtues children master.

Some of the topics we will explore and discuss include:
- using the virtues language to acknowledge as well as correct
- how to recognise the opportunity of teachable moments in the way we speak and the words we use;
- setting clear boundaries
- how to assist our children to manage emotions and to express them appropriately
- supporting children in making moral decisions

This one day program is for parents, teachers and anyone else with responsibility for children. It is based on the Virtues Program.
