The workplace safety harmonisation law change is almost upon us in WA—do you know what this means for you and your team? Join Denise Sawkins to explore this and the role of HR in safety at work. You will get the opportunity to engage in debate and discussion in this interactive session. Themes explored will include:

- What to do in the event of a major incident;
- Why you need more than policies to make your workforce safer; and
- What changes you need to be aware of when the new legislation takes effect this year.

Denise Sawkins
Denise is the owner and lead consultant at SafetyTech which has been operating in WA for almost 10 years. She has experience in a variety of industrial sectors from mining to manufacturing and more. Denise is a qualified Occupational Therapist with extensive experience in the injury management space. She taught students at graduate and post graduate levels at ECU and wrote content for units on Injury Management and Ergonomics. She has worked with organisations to reduce their risk exposure to safety incidents and has an enviable track record in reducing Workers Compensation premiums.
