M@SM presents The Date Brothers – Glorious Guitars.

Music @StreetMarket is proud to present an outstanding talent of Ian Date's calibre, touring from Ireland with Nigel Date.

The Date Brothers' playing is regarded as classic and beautiful with influences ranging from Django Reinhardt through Wes Montgomery, Barney Kessel and folkloric elements reminiscent of Juano Dominguez, Los Indios Tabarajas and current gypsy jazz stylings.

Ian has been playing professionally since he was 14 years old growing up in rural Australia. Ian now lives in Ireland and is regarded as one of Australia's great guitar players having played on more than 70 albums either as a leader or sideman and has performed in 37 different countries around the
world.

In Australia, Ian's professional work has included playing or recording guitar with people such as George Golla, Tommy Emmanuel & James Morrison.

Music@StreetMarket is so looking forward to having the Date Brothers at our venue; the playing is always melodic, endlessly inventive and always grooving and his live shows are always thoroughly entertaining.

You have to there, it's going to be the Jazz event of the year!
