Singer-songwriter Imogen Pemberton is bringing her raw and heartfelt songs to the East Brunswick Village arts space on Sunday 1 December with the upcoming launch of her debut album titled, Water from Wine. Accompanied by cellist Oliver Downes and violist James Tiherington, audiences can enjoy an intimate performance by the trio, as well as music from folk artist Brian Campeau who will be the supporting act.

Pemberton, who is known for her lush vocals, soaring melodies and sophisticated guitar playing, will perform with a full band in an evening not to be missed. The free launch event presents exciting new music by Pemberton since first releasing music in her debut EP Spine, back in 2016.

Water from Wine is a deeply personal repertoire of songs that displays a maturity beyond her years, Pemberton bares all through her honest lyrics that reach listeners on a level that simultaneously nourishes the soul and breaks the heart.

You can watch Imogen and Oliver perform the title track of Water from Wine, here.

"This understated album brings a cinematically luscious mix of stormy strings and guitar, coupled with a smoky voice that purifies, bringing you down to the water's edge," says Leigh Carriage of Southern Cross University. "Pemberton’s song writing and guitar riffs are intricately woven into each of her arrangements with her voice disappearing into the swirl of the music."

Come down exclusively to the creative hub that is the EBV display suite and get lost in Imogen’s lush vocals and new music from her special debut album. The EBV arts space continues to embrace local creatives including musicians, writers, artists and more, all while contributing to the urban fabric of the inner north.

Registrations to attend can be made online.
