Canberra Blues Society presents a night of Blues, Roots & Soul with some of Australia's finest artists.

Iseula
Iseula stands as a sublimely gifted blues, soul and gospel singer possessing a style imbued with deep musicality and bare-faced allure. Her stellar career as a vocalist and songwriter includes performances at Australia’s biggest blues music festivals and industry events, overseas performances in NZ and the U.S, a chart topping album on the Australian Blues & Roots charts, as well as a swag of highly coveted awards, including two Chain Awards (Nationwide Blues Music Award), Female Artist of the Year, VIC/TAS 2013 and an honourable mention in the International Songwriting Competition, Nashville TN, USA.

Matt 'The Rumble' Morrison
Equally as comfortable on guitar as drums, Matt has gigged since he was a teenager, harbouring a passion for roots and soul music and the electricity of live performance. He has played with iconic groups, The Bondi Cigars, The Hippos, and later the Continental Blues Party. He earned the moniker 'Matt The Rumble' after forming a gritty Link Wray instrumental surf band, named 'The Rumble'.

Anna Scionti
‘Urban Blues and Eclectic Steel Slide’ is how this Melbourne-based singer-songwriter and guitarist describes her unique style of driving slide guitar and whiskey soaked seductive vocals. Playing cigar-box guitar, resonator, lap steel or six-string guitar, you will be immersed into a world of emotionally charged, electrified, rhythmic, deep, honest, dirty blues. Anna's uninhibited foot-stomping sound is honest and raw.

The Illegal Bootleg Band
The Illegal Bootleg Band comprises professional musicians from Canberra and South-east New South Wales: Chris Harland (vocals and guitar); Lucy Fisher (vocals); Paul Leeder (bass); Gary Dahan (drums); and Jackson Fisher (keys). This outfit was created not only to back touring artists but also to perform in its own right. There is no lack of talent in this band and, whether supporting feature artists or in their own show, every performance is sure to please.
