James Flynn, Carmel Reeve & Mirko Guerrini w/ JMQ Ensemble

We are delighted that international Jazz vocalist, composer & band-leader, James Flynn returns to perform with JMQ Jazz Ensemble at Water Rat Hotel, South Melbourne, with guest singer Carmel Reeve (WA) and maestro saxophonist, Mirko Guerrini.

Originally from Scotland, James was based in WA from 2001, until he relocated to Singapore early 2018. He performs at concerts, festivals and venues worldwide and has released eight highly lauded albums.This stellar artist will again delight you with his rendition of great jazz and bop standards and introduce our Melbourne audience to another fine singer from WA, Carmel Reeve.

After training in musical theatre at WAAPA, Carmel began performing nationally and internationally in companies and as a solo artist, with a long line of credits. We look forward to showcasing her, on James' recommendation.

Mirko Guerrini, a maestro and leading figure in Italian Jazz, prior to relocating to Australia a few years ago, shall be our featured instrumental guest this evening. The stellar band is Michael Harding, Tom Lee, Niko Schauble & John Montesante.
