Johnny Walker Jazz Series – European Cotton Club

Take a trip back in time to the swinging Cotton Club. A tribute to the club which originally existed in New York in the 1920s–1940s, famous for being not just a venue for some of the greatest musicians of the age, but also a celebrity hotspot hangout for the likes of Irving Berlin, Judy Garland, George Gershwin and many more.

This show tributes not just the artists of the original Cotton Club (such as Duke Ellington, Louis Armstrong, Billy Holiday) but also includes songs by people of Summer’s own heritage, Europe! This crossover of culture sees cool jazz sit comfortably alongside French, Italian and Spanish songs.
