The next Kettering Concert will be given by a slightly unusual trio: cello, clarinet and piano. Jonathan Békés, cellist with the TSO, and Meriel Owen (piano) will make their debuts in Kettering, joined by Andrew Seymour (principal clarinet, TSO) who has twice before performed here. Their programme will include one of the major works for such a trio written by Brahms, and also music by Paquito D'Rivera, Nino Rota and Arvo Pärt. The latter piece is an interesting rewrite of a movement of a Mozart piano trio. Should be a great programme!
