Eyes to the skies this Father’s Day.

Look up in the sky…is it a bird, is it an astronaut, is it a flying pig? Yes to all three and there will be bunny rabbits, a stingray, dragons and a giant whale shark too as the annual Googong KiteFest floats into town.

Kick back and enjoy the view as the skies come alive with a flotilla of colourful giant kites…or take a run in the park with your own kite and feel the exhilaration of liftoff. It’s the perfect way to celebrate Father’s Day and the first day of spring!

Whether your Dad is a dab hand at flying or an expert at snoozing in the park, Rockley Oval will be the place to be. You never know what will drift by but it will be all eyes to the skies from 11am to 2pm for an afternoon of free family fun!

Give Dad a break from the BBQ tongs and BYO picnic, or enjoy a sausage sizzle or treat from the gourmet food trucks washed down with a beer. Dad can get his groove on as our resident DJ spins some tracks…or just keep an eye on the kids as they dance off steam in the kids disco.
