‘Kodomo no Hi Japan Festival’ is a multi-award-winning event (2018 City of West Torrens Community Event of the Year) and the largest Japanese festival in Adelaide. It has been held annually since 1995 and we invite all to come mark its 24th year. The festival is a celebration of the cultural and social links between the people of Japan and Australia. It is a great day for people of all ages and backgrounds to enjoy a variety of Japanese foods, performances, martial arts, crafts, music and much more!

Translated, ‘Kodomo no Hi’ means ‘Children’s Day’ in Japanese. This is one of Japan’s most significant national holidays that takes place on May 5. It is a day set aside to acknowledge the inherent qualities in every child and celebrate their happiness. We hope you come celebrate with us!
