In support of the debut 'Parking In Dark Spaces', KOTA are playing The Bendigo Hotel. Big guitars, pounding drums, music that will make you put your fist in the air—Melbourne alt-rock trio KOTA are making a splash their debut EP Parking in Dark Spaces.

The trio recently released the lead single from the EP 'Heaving'. Recorded at Head Gap Studios in Preston, Heaving recounts the band’s late nights, early mornings and all-or-nothing a tude with a party-staritng rhythm designed to get the blood pumping. An anthem heavy on distor on, volume and punchy vocals, the track serves as a band biography both in musical and personal terms, detailing both the band’s tumultuous evenings and its personal gles in a conflicted society.

KOTA takes influence from a variety of grunge legends like Soundgarden, Alice in Chains and The Smashing Pumpkins, while their output on Heaving has also been compared to Aussie rock heroes like You Am I and Grinspoon. A must-add to any rock or alterna ve fan’s playlist, KOTA are a band you don’t want to miss.

Joining KOTA for a night of awesome music are:

Edit the Empire
Edit the Empire are a high energy indie rock band based in Melbourne. Their sound is diversified with members coming from either the UK, South America or just down the road. The band have been working on new material over the last few months which makes up the bulk of their current live set. They will be releasing two new singles next month.

Zak Fleisher - Music
Since making the move from Perth to Melbourne in 2017, Zak and his band have been playing their sweet sounding self proclaimed "Gunk Pop" all around Melbourne. Following the success of his singles "Green Girl" and the moppy "Decisive", Zak decided to hit the studio long term with his buddy, Peter Bee from Studio Bee to record something which he described as 'more gutsy'.

Mean is the second single to be released from Zak's upcoming debut Album "Retro Vulgar", which is a modern day concept album about the cyclical millennial nature of a break-up. Mean is a mixture of what you expect should Tame Impala and Arctic Monkey's collaborated. Different to the Neo-country Vibes of his first release "Glu", "Mean" is a hard hitting hip-hop symphony based around when the break up takes place.
