LA Philharmonic Wind Quintet

This exploration of classics for wind ensemble sees us in the company of a starry ensemble indeed: leading the ANAM musicians for this program is a group in which every member is a first among equals—a quintet comprising principal players from the Los Angeles Philharmonic Orchestra, including ANAM Horn Faculty Andrew Bain.

With these musicians, we’ll be taken on a journey from late 19th-century France—and Gounod’s delicious evocation of the spirit of Mozart—to the United States in the mid 20th century, and the warm, open-air lyricism of Samuel Barber’s Summer Music.
