About BCRC-WA
The Breast Cancer Research Centre-WA (BCRC-WA) is a Western Australian clinical research and treatment centre for women and men with breast cancer. BCRC-WA was established in 2009 by the medical oncologist, Professor Arlene Chan, whose driving force over the past 20 years, has been to improve the lives of breast cancer patients and their families.

Professor Chan was named 2016 Western Australian of the Year in the Professions category for her pioneering work in breast cancer. She was also awarded an Order of Australia for her services to breast cancer research in 2018.

BCRC-WA strives to be a centre of excellence that brings together the expertise of oncologists, surgeons, physicians, nurses and other healthcare professionals, for the care of women and men with breast cancer.

BCRC-WA is a not-for-profit charitable organisation (Licence CC 21750) where unusually, all funds received from donors and bequests go fully to benefit patients on our clinical trials.
