Let's Shine Brightly

Albany Light Opera and Theatre Company (ALOTCo) is producing its 5th Let’s Shine show. This series are inviting people living with a disability and ALOTCo existing and new members to perform an integrated variety show with singing, dancing and skits.

This year’s production Let’s Shine Brightly is 2 performances (31st Nov & 1st Dec) which kicks off Disability Awareness Week plus 7 rehearsals (Saturday afternoons 2:00pm). Previous productions were Let’s Shine Together 2017, Let’s Shine Forever 2014, Let’s Shine Again 2009, and the original Let’s Shine 1998. Let’s Shine Forever won the City of Albany Australia Day Event of the Year for inclusivity and excellent entertainment, an exciting achievement indeed.

This year we have been sponsored by the City of Albany, Community Living Association and Rotary Club of Albany City – Van Eyk Trust, whom without their support this show would not have been able to happen, thank you.

On behalf of Carers WA, ALOTCo will be filming the process of this production for the Disabling the Label project which is about educating the wider community on how living with a disability will not hold them back and their contribution to the community is just as important as everyone else’s.
