A favourite at the 2018 Bangalow Music Festival, international superstar violinist, Amalia Hall joins Southern Cross Soloists for their final concert of 2019, Lyrical Reflections. This program promises to awaken the senses with musical compositions of splendour and beauty that paint vivid imagery of lush rolling hills and reflect on times gone by.

Visions of the beautiful and gently tranquil countryside have long inspired composers to recreate images of rural idylls through their music, offering listeners a pastoral and reflective escape to memories of wandering alone through nature. The highlights of this concert include Vaughan William’s hauntingly beautiful violin solo work, The Lark Ascending and Elgar’s moving Enigma Variations.

Amalia Hall – violin
