Last year our special lunch to celebrate mothers and mentors was sold out so we’re planning something equally distinctive this year. It’s still a relaxed, share-plate lunch of innovative seasonal food but with a delicious new 2019 menu. A glass of vintage Blanc de Blanc bubbles is included to toast your special guests.

This is the lunch for women who have inspired our lives. It’s for birth mothers, step-mothers, foster-mothers, grandmothers, partners and mentoring women who have shown us the way, and done it their way. It’s the perfect alternative to the underwhelming and over-commercialised options that are standard fare for Mother’s Day. Let’s open our finest sparkling wine, share a sumptuous feast of imaginative food and celebrate the women who have helped nurture, support and guide us.

Tastes Worthy of Unique Women:
We’ve been creative with a contemporary menu that’s a little bit exotic and a whole lot of Queensland deliciousness. There’s a mouth-watering salad featuring goat’s cheese with figs roasted in local honey; baked Moreton Bay bugs with a steamed rice bun, Asian herbs and accompaniments; Hervey Bay scallops with preserved lemon; beef short ribs braised with sauteed mushrooms; lamb empanadas with ricotta and chimichurri; and much more. Save space for the tempting dessert plate showcasing chocolate, parfait, honeycomb, pistachio, berries, coffee and fig. There will be something to delight everyone in the generous array of share plates for each table.
