The Melbourne Musicians directed by Frank U. Pam present acclaimed pianist Elyane Laussade in the 3rd of her Mozart Piano Concertos with the orchestra. She will play Mozart's first great piano concerto, No.9 in E flat major, K.271, "Jenamy" (formerly known as "Jeunehomme"), written at the age of 21 for virtuoso pianist Victoire Jenamy, who was visiting Salzburg at the time.

The program includes two of Haydn's famous Sturm und Drang (Storm and Stress) symphonies, No. 43 in E flat major, "Mercury" and No.49 in F minor, "La Passione". It concludes with Boccherini's dramatic Symphony in D minor, ":La Casa del Diavolo" (The House of the Devil) with the last movement based on Gluck's exciting Dance of the Furies from his opera Orpheus and Euridice.

Elyane is a graduate of the Juilliard School in New York, and has delighted audiences on 5 continents with her imaginative and strongly individual playing. She has now established herself as one of Australia's finest pianists.
