Music for the Inner Journey is a free concert that features a selection of international musicians playing their uplifting, peaceful and meditative world music arrangements of Sri Chinmoy's compositions. Touring through Australasia, the Perth Concert is on Thursday evening at the Octagon Theatre. Said Sri Chinmoy on music: "Each time we hear soulful music, we get inspiration and delight. In the twinkling of an eye, music can elevate our consciousness.

The concert features Alap Jetzer, an award-winning Swiss multi-instrumentalist performing haunting melodies on duduk (flute) and accompanied by udu drum. Adarsha Kelly, from Glasgow Scotland, is a vocal highland style performer who has sung in concerts around the world. 'Adarsha’s singing is something to be felt; it resonates in your entire being, until it reaches your heart’s core. Once there, it breaks open the door and moves you in your very depths,' a reviewer once wrote, and Monk Party, a modern father and son duo that mixes ambient beats with ancient mantras and whom NZ Musician Magazine has written, “It may be devotional, ancient, hauntingly Middle Eastern and involve Indian mantras, but ultimately it is timeless and true World music."
