After the highly acclaimed sold-out shows in 2018, Japanese-Brazilian Bossa Nova queen, Lisa Ono, is bringing her warm smile and beautiful music back to Brisbane again in 2019! Collecting musical inspiration from Brazil in a Japanese family, Lisa Ono is the talented singer who brought Bossa Nova to Asia. Her 1999 album “Dream” had been sold more than two hundred thousand copies in Japan. Since then she has been known as a central figure in the Japanese Bossa Nova community.

Lisa Ono spent her childhood in Brazil, she started singing and playing guitar when she was 15 years old, and debuted as a professional Bossa Nova singer in 1989. Her unique joyful natural vocals, rhythmic guitar playing, and her charming smile led her to huge succes. Lisa has been performing enthusiastically in America, Brazil and across Asia, with many great artists, including the legendary Antonio Carlos Jobim, and the Jazz Samba giant Joao Donato.
