Nathan Cavaleri + Wes Carr join for a special double headline show in Brisbane.

Nathan’s upcoming EP 'Demons' stretches beyond the traditional rock, blues and roots that Cavaleri is known for. The release of the first single 'Demons' marked his 6 year rise above mental health challenges and return to the stage. 'Rising Sun' is a track in which he pays tribute to the man that landed him his first record deal and tour at age 10, Jimmy Barnes, and is an emotive step from the profoundly beautiful title track.

This will be Nathan’s first solo release since he was signed to Michael Jackson’s label in 1994 and features songs that are a culmination of the diverse life Nathan has lived. B.B.King calling Nathan “the future of blues” is definitely an appropriate quote for how he has expanded beyond his roots.

Wes Carr has worn a lot of hats in the twenty years he’s been a professional musician, acoustic troubadour, reality show winner and chart-topping pop star. He has been front man of the Silverchair side project Tambalane and was the nations’ sweetheart when he took out Australian Idol. Wes' ragged, soaring voice recalling Bruce Springsteen and John Lennon, coupled with the rambling spirit and storytelling of Leonard Cohen, has taken him around the globe. Wes is a man who has walked through the fire, paid more than his share of dues and has emerged on the other side. He has experienced the highs and adulation few of us will ever enjoy. He’s ridden the rigors of a spell in the music industry spotlight and has arrived with a bag full of songs, bursting at the seams.

Following his first Golden Guitar award for best collaboration with Catherine Britt, Nathan is thrilled to be playing a co-headline show with Wes Carr. In between laps of the country, Wes has found himself becoming a father and wearing the honorable hat of “Dad,” to date Wes’ greatest achievement. And the bag full of songs? They will be shared later in the year with Wes’ best work yet. “Hummingbird” the album will be the telling of the tales. The heart of Carr. Ranging from joy to existential fear and every emotional point in between.
