Peppertown Jam ft. The Bushwackers

The Bushwackers are Australia's best-known, best-loved Australiana band. Described by Rolling Stone as "The Australian Band." In 2018, The Bushwackers celebrate 47 years of performance. There's been 95 band members, 25 studio albums, four books, tours, awards and enough stories to fill a dozen books.

The Bushwackers play proudly Australian music. Much of it is based on the traditional folk and working songs from the early 20th century with seamlessly incorporated celtic instrumentals and great contemporary original songs like Leave It In The Ground, Another trip To Bunnings, Dirt Under My Nails, Beneath The Southern Cross, Henry’s Men and the iconic I Am Australian.

The Bushwackers latest album, 'The Hungry Mile', was nominated in five categories in the 2018, Golden Guitar 'The Hungry Mile'.

Fronted by the enigmatic duo of Dobe Newton and Roger Corbett, they are thrilled to be hosting Newcastle's iconic Peppertown Jam this month, where songwriters, musicians and performers are welcome to come and play with the best sound in Newcastle, submerse themselves in the local music scene and enjoy the company of a warm and appreciative audience.
