Philip Quast is one of Australia’s best loved and most internationally recognised performers. Born on a dusty turkey farm in northern NSW, the voyage to dusty stages of hallowed theatres all over the world is inspired.

From NIDA to State Theatre Company of South Australia to the West End and Broadway, Philip Quast – Uncut takes us on a fascinating journey through songs and stories of his incredible life. With Anne-Maree McDonald tickling the ivories, Philip Quast – Uncut is often hilarious, sometimes outrageous and always from the heart.

Winner of three Laurence Olivier Awards for Best Actor in a Musical (Sunday In The Park with George, South Pacific and The Fix at The Donmar Warehouse), Philip shot to prominence in 1987 when he appeared as Javert in the original Australian production of Les Misérables, reprising the role on the West End and eventually in Les Misérables: The Dream Cast at The Royal Albert Hall.

Philip's other roles include Juan Peron in Andrew Lloyd Webber's 2006 production of Evita and Judge Turpin in Sweeney Todd at London's Royal Festival Hall, The Lincoln Centre in New York and for The English National Opera. He was Georges in the Menier Chocolate Factory’s production of Jerry Herman's La Cage aux Folles in the West End.

This is part of the Adelaide Cabaret Festival.
