Play On – Holiday Workshop with Australian Shakespeare Co.

Give your children the freedom to explore! Working with words, scenes and larger than life characters in a drama workshop environment gives young people the best opportunity to build their own unique stepping stones to self-confidence.

For families it’s a win-win. A holiday workshop run by the company’s Directors, Actors and Teachers that is action-packed and lots of fun, a creative way to build self-confidence and a chance to create characters and explore stories before studying them at school. The week will focus on what makes a hero heroic or a villain villainous! Through storytelling, drama games, improvisation and scene study, the workshop will build towards a live showcase for family and friends.

The ASC believe theatre is a powerful tool for education, and fortunately it is entertaining too! Beyond understanding Shakespeare, our holiday workshops bring social-emotional learning directly into the rehearsal room in joyful, creative and purposeful ways.
