Plektra Mandolin & Guitar Ensemble

Plektra is bringing their sparkling fusion of Classical and World Music to the Blue Mountains. The group is led by Kiev-trained, internationally renowned mandolin soloist Dr. Stephen Lalor who performs and tours with the Sydney Symphony Orchestra, Australian Chamber Orchestra, Australia Opera and Ballet Orchestra as well a number of overseas orchestras.

Lalor also arranges or writes much of Plektra’s music. The ensemble of mandolinists and guitarists will be performing classics including the Vivaldi Mandolin Concert and tango music by Piazolla, as well as World Music with an Eastern European flavour and some surprises to delight the audience.
