Politics In the Pub July – Climate Change & Community Action

Does climate change worry you? What can be done by local communities to try and avert a global catastrophe? In a very special event, for July PIP will be exploring the impact of climate change on the Newcastle, and what can be done at a local level. We will be joined by Dr Liam Phelan from the School of Environmental and Life Sciences at the University of Newcastle.

Jo Lynch from the Hunter Community Environment Centre and Freya Nolin from Extinction Rebellion Newcastle will also be offering their experience and insights of community activism on climate change. And finally we have Jacqueline Svenson from the Legal Centre at the University of Newcastle offering her insights into Environmental Law in NSW.
