Do you have lived experience of Hepatitis? Do you want to make a difference and fight against stigma and discrimination? Hepatitis Victoria is welcoming new public speakers to join our public speaker’s bureau "HEPSpeak". Join us for a two-day free workshop to improve your public speaking skills and make a difference!

Why should I become a HEPSpeaker?
- An opportunity to connect with others and share experiences
- Help to educate the community and raise awareness about living with viral hepatitis
- Join the fight against stigma and discrimination
- Receive free training on presentation skills and story telling
- Feel empowered to share your story, increase your confidence and inspire others
- Speakers are reimbursed for talks they do at events

What HEPSpeakers are saying:
"Sharing my story with the community has been an extremely empowering experience. It has helped me to not regret the past nor wish to shut the door on it. But see it as a tool to help others and reaffirm my gratitude for clearing the virus." - HEPSpeaker testimony

"HEPSpeak has given me the opportunity to learn more about myself, what I have to give and why it is so valuable." - HEPSpeaker testimony

The training sessions are run over two days—participants must attend both days in order to become HEPSpeakers

Day 1: Saturday 6th of April 2019 – 10:30am to 1:30pm
- Introduction to public speaking and Hepatitis Victoria

Day 2: Saturday 13th of April 2019 – 10:30am to 3:30pm
- Telling your story

This training is open to anyone with lived experience of hepatitis B or C. Lunch is provided on both days.
