The SALA Festival is an annual celebration of South Australian living visual artists. Held every August, thousands of artists exhibit in hundreds of venues throughout metropolitan and regional South Australia.
The extraordinary range of exhibition venues means that you can find art just about anywhere around SA, from traditional galleries to cafes, hairdressers, pubs and other unexpected places. SALA Festival has enormous reach which goes way beyond the boundaries of the Adelaide CBD, with exhibitions in the Adelaide Hills, Clare Valley, Barossa Valley, Eyre Peninsula, Fleurieu Peninsula, Limestone Coast, Riverland and beyond.
SALA Festival invites the participation of artists of all ages and levels of experience in art-making. The art itself is as diverse as the artists, with all kinds of media represented: painting, sculpture, drawing, photography, digital media, moving image, glass, ceramics, textiles and more. SALA Festival presents an excellent opportunity for South Australian artists to be seen and appreciated by the wider community.
