Soul Slap! will take a memorable journey across the iconic 60s musical landscape performing hits from the Motown era with dance moves including Do the Watusi, The Mashed Potato and The Twist as part of a super soul dance party of epic proportions.

The Milford Street Shakers will be bringing back the Motown vibe of an old-school 60s dance party with songs like Dancing In The Street, Stop! In The Name of Love, I Can’t Help Myself (Sugar Pie, Honey Bunch), and How Sweet It Is To Be Loved By You.

With their infectious energy, the Milford Street Shakers are a sight to be seen, a band to be heard and a phenomenon to be experienced. The band features the big sounds of the Three Wise Men on brass and the voice of Lee Morunga, who spent 10 years touring with Disney’s The Lion King in Australia and Europe.

The show's up-beat music is a tribute to the soul music of people such as Aretha Franklin, Ray Charles, James Brown and Etta James.

"It's music that just makes people want to get up and dance no matter whether they are 20 or 80 years old," Dom says.

As well as Lee Morunga on lead vocals musicians include James Vinciullo on bass, Dominic D’Leno on drums, Imogen Thomson on percussion, Andy Jarvis on guitar, Austin Salisbury on keys, Robert Bresland on trumpet, Glyn MacDonald on trombone, Mark Sprogowski on baritone sax and backing vocalists Taonga Thomson-Lawrence and Roera Mako.
