Spring OASIZ Workshop

OASIZ is a meeting place for performers and creative folk of all disciplines, who feel the need for nourishment and deep listening. Structured around a range of themes, skills and perspectives, OASIZ zooms in to the personal instrument of the performer (body, voice, breath, mind, imagination), and aims to unlock gateways to the authentic creative self. In Spring OASIZ we will continue exploring levels of awareness, the use of imagery, and the art of composition.

The workshop is a practical platform, not only for the artistic practitioner, but also for teachers, healers, and anyone who travels the path of life with an inquiring and creative mind. For those with a concern for authenticity in human relationships at large, and a desire for wholistic experience. Here are some keywords to describe the nature of the work: Playfulness, mindfulness, inquiry. Eccentricity, intuition, quest, intimacy. Rawness, sophistication, originality. Transformation, surrender, dissent.

Jepke: “I am driven by the urgency of our times, the need to reset our compass. I am delving deep into my reservoir of knowledge and experience, gained during my multi-facetted work for the Company (together with co-director Graham Jones, for over thirty years), and prior to that, through my work as core member (for eight years) of the international Research Theatre Group KISS, and before that, my extensive studies at Jerzy Grotowski’s Theatre Laboratory in Poland. This artistic trajectory has provided me with a legacy too precious not to share with performance makers of this time."
