Valley Heat Records brings you the first single of the year from Gold Coast dream-poppers, syrup, go on. "Don't Go (Riding Down the Cosmic Drain)" is out digitally on May 1.

After last year's debut EP, Joyful Hesitation, syrup, go on are back with single 'Don't Go (Riding Down the Cosmic Drain)' from their forthcoming album 'Last Light'. Meticulously crafted alongside 9 other tracks of the album, 'Don’t Go (Riding Down the Cosmic Drain)' blends the band’s love for The Beach Boys and Crosby, Stills & Nash style vocal harmonies with explosive and layered instrumentals not unlike neo-psychedelic outfits such as Animal Collective, The Flaming Lips, and Tame Impala.

Written during a period of uncertainty and change, lyrical themes of growth and maturing are found throughout the song and aptly fit the progressive pocket symphony. When considering the band’s previous works, it is evident that the same themes are mirrored in their sonic exploration and experimentalism in song writing.
