The Bloody Long Walk is a 35km challenge owned and operated by the Mito Foundation. Walk, jog or run and enjoy spectacular scenery whilst raising vital funds to help find cures for mitochondrial disease (mito).

Mito is a debilitating and potentially fatal genetic disorder that impairs the body's ability to convert food into the energy needed to power muscles and major organs; 1 in 200 people are at risk of developing mito. One Australian child born each week suffers a severe or life-threatening form of mito making it the second most commonly diagnosed serious genetic disease after cystic fibrosis.

Follow the iconic route of the Yarra River from Melbourne's northern parklands to the vibrant atmosphere of Southbank before reaching the beaches of St Kilda. Take the last steps of your 35km challenge at the stunning Mooloolaba Beach.

Walk or run solo or with a group—teams can be any size. Fully supported course with checkpoints and refreshments.
