The Bloody Long Walk is a 35km challenge owned and operated by the Mito Foundation. Walk, jog or run and enjoy spectacular scenery whilst raising vital funds to help find cures for mitochondrial disease (mito).
Mito is a debilitating and potentially fatal genetic disorder that impairs the body's ability to convert food into the energy needed to power muscles and major organs; 1 in 200 people are at risk of developing mito. One Australian child born each week suffers a severe or life-threatening form of mito making it the second most commonly diagnosed serious genetic disease after cystic fibrosis.
Take in the city skyline from the serene banks of the Swan River before crossing at Windan Bridge. Follow the river to the coast with spectacular water views before finishing at iconic Cottesloe Beach.
Enjoy the 35km challenge at your own pace, be it a walk, jog or run, knowing that every step is one step closer to finding a cure for mito! Fully supported course with checkpoints and refreshments.
