After a year touring his acclaimed show ‘Hard to Handel,’ with pianist Adam Cook, award-winning singer Max Riebl continues his audacious quest to combine the electricity of pop with classical mastery, bringing Kate Bush and Henry Purcell together in a youthful, carefree display of skill, power and purity.

One of Australia’s finest singers breathes fire into classical music. Exploring the world of contemporary pop and baroque, using his masterful countertenor voice to match Purcell with modern-day equivalents; Kate Bush, Dusty Springfield and Thom York. An Intimate affair, not to be missed! For years, Max Riebl performed on the classical concert stage. Dressed in tails and tuxedos, standing beside maestros and masters, he has performed in the concert halls of Europe, Australia and the UK.

Max was born in Melbourne with music in his DNA. His older brother Felix Riebl, of the Cat Empire fame and his older sister Rosie Riebl, a concert pianist, rounded out the musical household. Living in Vienna as a child, Max was offered the role of lead boy soprano in the Vienna Boys Choir.
