The Elevator District – 'Surprise Birthday' Single Launch

The Elevator District are one of Sydney’s fastest growing young bands of 2019, winning over audiences with their energetic mix of neo-soul, future-funk and jazz. With relatable songwriting and a sound that is infectiously joyful, you'll find it hard to stand still!

Influenced by modern soul and funk artists like Mr Jukes and old school jazz fusion greats like Steely Dan, The Elevator District have been writing and playing all of 2018 across venues in Sydney like The Basement, Venue 505 and The Factory Theatre.

Riding off the back of a successful start to the new year with Kiama Jazz and Blues Festival, the band have just released their debut single 'Surprise Birthday' and will be bringing their live show to a number of venues along the east coast of Australia, beginning with an epic launch at Waywards, Newtown!
