The Elixir of Love (L'Elisir d'Amore)

GBD Productions pays tribute to the great days of touring opera of the Gold Rush era with Mr Lyster's Touring Colonial Opera's presentation of Donizetti's great comedy, L'Elisir d'Amore. Nemorino, a penniless farmer, loves Adina, the village belle. When a travelling "doctor" sells him a love potion, mayhem ensues. Will true love win the day? Featuring rising star Piera Dennerstein as Adina, acclaimed tenor Nick Seidenman, and a sterling cast including Tahlia Murphy, Andrew Alesi, Jamie Moffat, Jessica Joan Graham, Lara Vocisano, Steven Touzel and Josh Morton-Galea, with musical direction by Pam Christie, this is a breezy, witty and very tuneful afternoon's entertainment.
