Brisbane soul band The Holy Rollercoasters will launch their new single “Anhedonia Nights” at The Milk Factory with recent Caloundra Music Festival alumni Kayso Grande and eccentric groove merchants Shakes Fear and the Skeleton Gang. The first release from an upcoming EP of love songs is "Anhedonia Nights", with a Motown-meets-Mariachi introduction and a psychedelic rave to finish off.

Inspired by "anhedonia", the psychological condition whereby someone cannot feel pleasure and by the performance of St Paul and the Broken Bones the night before at Bluesfest, Jimi wrote a lyric about someone who feels they cannot provide the kind of love their partner needs and they may have reached the peak that happiness can provide.
