The Literature Behind the Lyrics

Michele Forbes, one of Australia’s leading jazz voices, will perform at the Melbourne Athenaeum Library as part of the library’s classical and contemporary music program.

Michele began her career as a classical dancer but a serious injury led her to discover a singing voice, and she soon began performing with Melbourne’s leading jazz players. She is currently resident singer for the Groovin’ Easy Orchestra Big Band and performs at various jazz festivals and clubs. She also tours nationally with Gold Logie award winner John Wood in their hit show ‘A Guy and a Gal’.
