"The Long View" explores a range of mature themes resonating with today's teens. On a seemingly ordinary day, an explosive fight occurs at a high school when Travis, a bully, confronts his ex-girlfriend, Holly, and her new boyfriend, Nate. Though the actual encounter lasts only a moment, the effects of the incident linger in the memories and lives of all who witnessed it.

Through a series of short scenes and monologues, this performance explores the repercussion, both short term and long, of a single event in a young person’s life. At the play’s end the physical confrontation is illustrated once more, but now with a much broader perspective.

Come and support Red Cliffs Players debuting director Emily Leon, along with her youth cast in an engaging and powerful play.

The cast includes a number of new faces to the Red Cliffs Players family, along with some familiar faces. The cast of 14 youth, of varying ages, have been rehearsing for the last few months and are ready to display their talent.

This youth production has been generously supported by the Telstra Foundation and has not only allowed the youth to be on stage; but has also seen them turn their hands to back stage roles and activities.
