To celebrate the album’s 50th anniversary, high powered nine-piece Sixties Soul band The Milford Street Shakers will be paying tribute to Fab Four in their own inimitable energetic style. Their Rubber Souled concert brings a whole new level of energy to the show which covers the covers of other musicians’ classic Beatles hits.
Band leader Dom D’Leno says the show will appeal to both diehard Beatles fans and for younger generations to discover why The Beatles is such an iconic group. Featuring well-known tunes such as I Want to Hold Your Hand, Eleanor Rigby and Hey Jude covered by the likes of Al Green, Aretha Franklin and Wilson Pickett, Dom says the band will have audiences up dancing and singing along in no time.
The Rubber Souled title pays tribute to The Beatles sixth studio album, Rubber Soul. Dom says the new Freo.Social venue on the site of the historic Artillery Drill Hall is a perfect venue for The Milford Street Shakers to power their way through The Beatles catalogue. The Milford Street Shakers will be supported at the dinner show concert by DJ Razor Jack and Murphy’s Lore.
