Underground Productions' Holding the Man, directed by Bradley Chapman and Lachlan Hoy and adapted for stage by Tommy Murphy, is a heartwarming and honest look into the lives and realities of young gay men in Australia in the latter half of the 20th century. Based on Timothy Conigrave's celebrated memoir of the same name which won the 1995 UN Human Rights Award for Non-Fiction and voted one of Australia's top 100 most favourite books, Holding the Man is a story of love and sexuality told through a uniquely Australian lens.
