Vietnam Veterans Memorial Service

This year marks the 53rd anniversary of the Battle of Long Tan, where 108 brave young men from D Company 6RAR resisted an attack of 1,500–2,500 North Vietnamese and Viet Cong troops in what would become one of the most extraordinary chapters in Australia’s military history. Vietnam Veterans Day, formerly known as Long Tan Day, will be commemorated on 18 August as we remember and give thanks to all those men and women who served in Vietnam.

Everyone is invited to attend, those taking part will meet at 10am for a 10:30am start at the Cenotaph and Vietnam Veterans' Memorial Garden, followed by lunch and entertainment upstairs hosted by the Vietnam Veterans Federation, Vietnam Veterans Association and Nerang RSL Sub Branch Inc.
