Two of Australia's most adventurous musicians, Simone Slattery (violin) and Anthony Albrecht (cello), visit the Central Coast as part of their 2019 NSW tour,to bring you 'Where Song Began', a musical celebration of Australia’s birds and how they shaped the world.

Based on Tim Low's bestselling book, this beautiful performance tells the story of the evolution of song, featuring music spanning 300 years, stunning visual projections and an immersive soundscape. Accessible for all ages, you will be introduced to the origin of song and Australia's rich and colourful bird history.

Simone Slattery holds a PhD in Music Performance (University of Adelaide) and performs regularly with Australia’s finest ensembles. Anthony Albrecht is a London-based Australian graduate of The Juilliard School’s Historical Performance program.

Performance length: 60 minutes without interval, including a Q&A. Birdlife Australia supports these performances. $1 from every ticket sold will be donated to Birdlife or a related conservation cause.
