World Jousting Championship 2019

Attention fair maidens and noble gentlemen—don’t miss the opportunity to watch your very own Victorian knight defend his world title at the World Jousting Championship in Warragul!

Ballarat local Phillip Leitch, who is current world champion, is set to compete against highly skilled jousters from as far away as the Netherlands, Norway and Russia, as well as two incredible fellow knights from Queensland and Victoria.

Proudly presented by the Victorian Government, La Trobe Valley Authority and Baw Baw Council, the World Jousting Championship takes place the first weekend ofJune from Saturday 1st to Sunday 2nd June 2019.

The event will be a full medieval immersive experience complete with historical medieval village, full flight birds of prey, viking battles, a knightly foot tournament, archery, trebuchet and even a Shakespearean tavern!
