Oriental Teahouse to launch Beyond Meat dumplings and more for World Vegan Day.
Modern yum cha specialists Oriental Teahouse are gearing up for World Vegan Day on Friday 1 November with the launch of three new-look vegan dumplings inspired by menu favourites, including a limited edition Beyond Meat dumpling that is sure to delight vegans and dumpling-lovers alike.
Made 100% vegan, discover the authentic chilli wagyu taste of Oriental Teahouse’s new Beyond Meat ‘beef’ dumpling (pictured)—available for only one week, the menu favourite is given a vegan update with its surprise ingredient not yet widely used in dumplings.
The other limited-edition vegan dishes include a plant based ‘beef’ shredded steak in a sticky sweet chilli sauce served up with string beans and sesame seeds, and a plant based ‘chicken’ and shallot wonton with wood ear mushroom, sesame, bamboo in a spring onion dressing.
Those in need for a plant-based yum cha fix can also head to Oriental Teahouse on Little Collins Street on World Vegan Day, where yum cha sessions that evening (5:30pm and 7:30pm) will only include the 15 plant-based menu items already available across venues.
