Unforgettable writing begins with engrossing imagery.
Writing that incorporates our sensory experiences has the power to draw readers deep into our stories, life-writing and poems. Paying attention to our surroundings, the fine details, the colours, scents, textures, the murmurs and play of light, create immediacy and interest in our writing. The workshop explores the use of concrete imagery to create simple and extended metaphors, which help convey emotions, reflections and themes in our work. Participants are asked to bring along their own writing materials and there will be an opportunity for feedback during the workshop.
