Embrace your inner teen and write for young adults. This 6-hour workshop will show you how to develop compelling and complex teen characters, how to find a voice for them, and how to keep your readers hooked through plot and structure.

Learning Outcomes:
During the workshop, you will:
- Gain an understanding of the genre and sub-genres in the YA market and the multiple approaches to publication
- Learn how to create believable and compelling young adult characters by focussing on what matters to your character and using emotion in writing
- Learn about the all-important Voice in YA stories and gain confidence writing your own YA voice
- Discover ways to keep readers keen by learning about conflict, plotting and structure
