Following their return to the studio and stage after a 6 year hiatus, Brisbane-to-Montreal-and-New-York duo An Horse are finally making their way back to Australian shores in support of their new long player 'Modern Air'. It'll be the band's first run of Australian headline dates since relocating overseas in 2012. Touring alongside An Horse will be electric Melbourne trio Moody Beaches and Kelso (the new project from Camp Cope bassist Kelly-Dawn Hellmrich). Tickets on sale now via venues and links below!

Before their 6 year break, An Horse were 2 albums into their career and touring non-stop with the likes of Tegan and Sara, Death Cab for Cutie, Silversun Pickups and Nada Surf when a series of distracting life events forced them into a hiatus of sorts. That hiatus led to an extended break from touring and recording that finally ended with the release of 'Modern Air' earlier this year.

The songs on their new record manage to be both propulsive and loping, lean mission statements about negotiating modern living easter-egged with intelligence and humour, melodic and percussive ear candy, heart and teeth, hope and anger.

They still sound like themselves, two-headed and singularly focused, a particularly effective evolutionary step in a long tradition of of guitar-based indie-rock, angular in spaces, jangly in others, sometimes both at the same time. They take a familiar vocabulary and teach it new words, one sugary harmony barbed-wired to unflinching insight at a time.

Poison City is delighted to be bringing An Horse back home for their first run of Australian dates in over 7 years! Tickets on sale from links below/ venue websites from 10am - don't miss em'!
